OK, so…

It’s been a while since I’ve said anything of value on this here blog…  I’m trying to get better at it, but as sad as this is, it’s not natural to me to be consistent with this type of thing.  I’m a very seasonal person (if you haven’t noticed in my songs) and I kind of live my life that way.  It’s created some interesting problems with friendship and marriage, and has really made me rethink and rework the things about me that are maybe a little more maleable.  Anyway, enough of the self-examination.

I posted the little image yesterday, but I feel some clarification is in order Pzizz is quite possibly the greatest piece of software I’ve found in quite some time.  More or less, it acts as a “sleep coach” by providing guided naps (called “Engergizer Naps” or “Sleep Naps” depending on the focus of the plugin).  It’s evidently a product of a bunch of scientific mumbo-jumbo about the types of rhythms help your brain release and re-focus during cycles of your sleep at night.  The coolest thing about the “Energizer Naps” is that they don’t even require you to go to sleep.  I’ve been amazed at the effect of just timing out, kicking back, and taking a 20-minute energizer.  If you’re like me and work from home a lot, or even if you have a boss that understands the value of a little siesta, I’d strongly consider trying it out.  Also, if you buy it through the link up there, I’ll get a small cut, and as a thank-you, just e-mail me and let me know that you did and I’ll send you a $5 gift certificate to my online store (you can use it on a CD, MP3s, stickers, t-shirts, etc.).  Don’t think I’m just trying to sell a product, though, because there are PLENTY of places that offer commission on linked ads.  I just love this thing so much that I was able to work that out.

On a completely different note, the new TV season as started.  There’s a TON of new shows this season, and most of my favorites from last season are back too (minus Invasion & Love Monkey, and I hear EVERYONE’s up in arms about Everwood being gone).  Some of the new ones this season that I’m stokeda bout are “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip”, which had the best pilot I’ve seen in a long time, “Shark”, and that one with Tina Fey in it…  I’ve got a list of “give ‘em a shots” as well including “Jericho”, “The Class”, “6 Degrees”, “The Nine”, “Ugly Betty”, “Brothers & Sisters”, and “Men in Trees”.  I’m fully prepared to enjoy a couple of them for half the season before deciding that time is better used watching the Battlestar episodes 2 and 3 times, with and without the podcast, and pausing Lost to figure out what in the hell is going on…  Did you hear about the numbers?  Evidently they’re from real life, and were used in an equation to determine the extinction of the human race.  If you don’t watch Lost you have no clue what I’m talking about, and should definitely set aside a weekend to catch up.  That is, after you take a weekend to watch the first two seasons of Battlestar Galactica.  And before you catch up with Veronica Mars. I’m a TV Geek, what can I say?

Speaking of my geekdom, it’s time to catch the Daily Show & Colbert Report, then off to sleepyland for me!
